The Days on Market (DOM) keeps track of how many days a property has been on the Market. The system keeps track of this information through the APN#. The DOM count is continuous, as it does not reset with a new MLS#. Please take this into consideration if you want to re-list your property.
DOM is set on a 30-day timer. To reset the DOM back to 0, a listing must be Off-Market for at least 30 days. Off-Market is defined as either Canceled or Expired Status. Withdrawn does not affect the DOM. If a listing has been Withdrawn, it will continue to count the DOM when it is brought back to Market.
Some Listing Agents may not be aware of this, and have mistakenly put their listings on Withdrawn Status. This can prevent you from posting your listing because Withdrawn is still considered as an Active Status. Please contact the Listing Agent of the Withdrawn listing to inquire about the status of their contract. You may need to inform the other Agent about the DOM Rules.
For more information concerning Status, please visit the Canceled and Withdrawn Status page on the MLSListings, Inc. website.
